Lawrence J. Longua
Board

Mr. Longua is a full-time Clinical Associate Professor in the Masters Program of the New York University Real Estate Institute. He is also the Director of NYU's REIT Institute, Faculty Coordinator for the REI Finance Curriculum member of the REI Appraisal Advisory Council.

Additionally, he is a principal of Canopy Development LLC, a resort development entity of Revolution LLC; and founder and owner of Urbanalysis LLC, a real estate consulting and research company.

Mr. Longua has had over 40 years in all areas of commercial real estate, primarily with major foreign and domestic commercial banks, including Chemical Bank, Bankers Trust Company and Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation.

Mr. Longua's professional and civic activities include:

• Director, Xemex Holding, a New York real estate developer and investor
• Consultant to TernGroup LLC, developer of 7mm sf mixed-use project in Elizabeth, NJ
• Past President, current Governor, Mortgage Bankers Association of New York
• Chairman, MBA of New York Scholarship Foundation
• Former Director, Executive Board member and current delegate, Association of Foreign Investors in US Real Estate (AFIRE)
• Member, Real Estate Board of New York
• Member, Pension Real Estate Association
• Member, Japan Society
• New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker
• Expert witness in federal and state litigation involving real estate finance issues.

• Board Member, Long Island Chapter, Catholic League for Civil and Religious Rights

Mr. Longua received a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Economics from Fairfield University and Masters in Business Administration degree from Dowling College, completed the Harvard University Advanced Management Course, and is a member of the Delta Pi Chapter of Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration.

He served on active duty with the US Marine Corps, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain.
