In January 2008 Jerry retired from HSBC where he served as a Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Finance Division. Jerry joined HSBC in December 2004 and was responsible for the origination and closing of term, construction and bridge loans secured by commercial and multi-family properties throughout the United States. Prior to joining HSBC, Jerry served in a similar capacity for Washington Mutual, which acquired the Dime Savings Bank of New York in 2002. Jerry started his banking career at Dime in 1967 in retail branch operations and joined Dime’s commercial real estate group in 1991.
Jerry is a graduate of Dowling College in Oakdale, NY. He is the current President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York where he has held various officer and committee chairmanship positions for the past ten years. In addition, Jerry is past president of the Melville 110 Lions Club and has been involved for many years in fund raising activities for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. Jerry is also a member of RELA, the ICSC and RENT.
